NBC's *The Voice* Season 30 premiere drew 7.8 million viewers in its first seven days, a 5 percent increase over the Season 28 launch last fall and the largest opening audience since Season 27 in spring 2025. The total blends Nielsen linear measurement on NBC with NBCUniversal's own Peacock streaming data, and it arrives as the network tests a full simulcast of live episodes across both platforms in every time zone.
The streaming number that matters
Three-day streaming volume jumped 57 percent year over year, making the premiere the most-streamed episode in the franchise's history. That figure is the one advertisers will reference when Peacock's inventory is priced for the upfront market; linear ratings no longer set the floor alone.
Reach and social don't pay the same bills
NBCUniversal also reported 19 million viewers in total reach, anyone who watched any portion, and 337 million social video views across five days, per Sprout Social. Reach counts partial views; social counts autoplay loops. Neither carries the CPM of a full linear episode, but both inflate the narrative for buyer presentations.
The simulcast experiment
For the first time, live shows air simultaneously on NBC and Peacock nationwide. The premiere data suggests the dual feed cannibalized less than feared: linear held while streaming surged. If that pattern persists through the Dolly Parton, Y2K, and TikTok theme weeks, the model becomes a template for NBC's other reality franchises.
