US spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds bled $549 million last week, extending a withdrawal streak that has now run for two weeks on the Bitcoin side and three on the Ether side, according to SoSoValue data.
October is the worst month yet for Ether funds
Ether products alone accounted for $320 million of last week’s redemptions, pushing October’s cumulative net outflows to roughly $955 million. That monthly tally already exceeds any other month this year. Bitcoin funds lost about $229 million over the same five-day span, a modest improvement from the prior week when the pair combined for $1.22 billion in outflows.
Price action tracked the exits
Ether dropped 5 percent over the seven-day window to trade around $2,433, while Bitcoin slipped 1.3 percent to $82,783, per CoinGecko. The correlation between fund flows and spot performance remains tight enough to notice without needing a regression model.
Smaller altcoin funds also saw redemptions
Solana ETFs recorded $26 million in weekly net withdrawals, Zcash funds $19 million and Hyperliquid products $18 million. XRP and BNB vehicles posted smaller outflows of $1.8 million and $285,000 respectively, suggesting the risk-off mood spread beyond the two largest assets.
Year-to-date totals stay in the black
Despite the October slump, both flagship funds remain net positive for 2026. Bitcoin ETFs have gathered roughly $259 million in net inflows since January, while Ether ETFs have attracted about $610 million. The year-to-date cushion is the only reason the weekly prints look like a correction rather than a capitulation.
